Finding Your Way Begins with a Little Curiosity
What is Life Coaching?
Life coaching is a collaborative process that helps you gain clarity, reconnect with what matters most, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are. Through thoughtful questions, reflection, and guided exploration, coaching helps you uncover your own insights and identify meaningful next steps.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Coaching may be a good fit if you feel stuck, are standing at a crossroads, or sense that something in your life no longer fits. Perhaps you're navigating a career change, a personal transition, a new chapter in midlife, or simply feeling called toward something different. You don't need to have all the answers—or even know exactly what you want. Curiosity is enough to begin.
What makes Spruce & Stone Life Coaching different?
My approach is grounded in the belief that you already carry an inner wisdom worth listening to. Drawing on Wayfinder coaching principles, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to slow down, explore what's beneath the surface, and reconnect with your own inner compass. My background in nursing, along with my training in Ayurveda and Reiki, informs my appreciation for the whole person and the importance of caring for ourselves through life's transitions.
What if I don't know what I want or where to start?
You don't have to arrive with a plan. Sometimes the first step is simply acknowledging that something doesn't feel right anymore. Together, we'll make space for what you're experiencing, explore what matters to you now, and allow greater clarity to emerge in its own time.
Here are more answers to common questions about coaching with Spruce & Stone.

Each session is shaped around you and what you're experiencing. We may explore patterns, values, dreams, fears, or possibilities that are asking for your attention. You may be invited to reflect, try a guided exercise, or consider a small step between sessions. There is no expectation to perform, have everything figured out, or be anything other than yourself.
-
Sessions are held via Zoom, allowing you to participate from a comfortable, private space of your choosing. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a willingness to make some time for yourself.

Absolutely. Midlife can bring questions about identity, purpose, relationships, work, and what you want the next chapter to look like. You may have built a life that once felt right but no longer reflects who you are becoming. Coaching offers space to listen to that quiet knowing, explore what matters now, and imagine new possibilities without needing to have the entire path mapped out.
-
No. Coaching focuses on self-discovery, values, personal growth, and moving toward desired changes. Therapy is a distinct mental health service that may address mental health conditions, psychological distress, and past experiences in a clinical context. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical care, and it is not a substitute for those services when they are needed.

I have a deep appreciation for the people who dedicate their lives to caring for others. Coaching can offer healthcare professionals space to reflect on the emotional demands of their work, reconnect with what matters, and explore sustainable ways of moving forward. You deserve space to consider your own needs, too.
-
Yes. Career transitions can stir up excitement alongside fear, uncertainty, and practical concerns. Coaching can help you explore what is no longer working, identify your values and strengths, question assumptions that may be holding you back, and consider possibilities that feel more aligned with the life you want to live.

That tension is more common than you might think. The familiar can feel safer, even when it no longer fits. Together, we can explore the fears, beliefs, and competing needs beneath your hesitation, while respecting the practical realities of your life. You don't have to make a leap before you're ready. Sometimes clarity begins with one small, honest step

Yes! I offer a complimentary 30-minute discovery call so we can meet, discuss what brings you to coaching, and explore whether working together feels like a good fit. It's an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of my approach, with no pressure or obligation to commit.

Creating a space where you feel safe to speak openly is central to my approach. What you share is treated with care and respect. Confidentiality has legal and ethical limits, which I'll explain before we begin working together.

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. This helps me honor both your time and the time reserved for our work together. Specific details will be shared when we arrange your coaching sessions.
